Our Purpose Is Exclusively Executing' - The Way Sudan's Ruthless Fighting Force Carried out a Mass Killing

Fighters laugh as they travel on the back of a pick-up truck, hurrying past a series of nine dead bodies and moving towards the setting African evening sky.

"Look at all this accomplishment. See this mass destruction," a fighter shouts.

The individual smiles as he points the recording device on himself and his associate combatants, their RSF insignia visible: "They are all going to die like this."

The combatants are exulting in a massacre that aid workers suspect killed over 2,000 people in the African city of al-Fashir in recent weeks.

An Urban Center Isolated from the Outside

Having held the urban area under blockade for approximately an extended period, from the summer the militia proceeded to consolidate its position and blockade the surviving residents.
