The UK is prepared to move forward with utilizing the total value of immobilized Russia's funds to support Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel Moscow to participate in talks.

They further noted that the move would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.

British penalties have immobilized over £25bn of Russia's funds since Russia initiated its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. But, up to this point, money allocated to Ukraine using Russia's funds had solely been taken from earnings and returns earned on them.
